The committee has made an effort to give courses a more professional look. We have had an overhead projector given to us and have purchased a Flip Chart. Both course leaders and participants have appreciated these assets. Course leaders have all provided well produced handouts and all participants on courses now fill in course evaluation forms which are reviewed and comments made are taken on board. The bookstall has been in attendance at all courses with special stock applicable to each course.

This year one Association training event has been held in each of the four districts. These have included First Steps in Treble Bob - Peak District, Bell Maintenance - Derby District, Improving your Striking - Chesterfield District and ‘Can you call a Touch?’ - Ilkeston District. These courses have all been well supported and feed back from all of them has been very positive. The committee would like to thank the leaders of these courses for the time and effort put in to preparing the days activities, courses do not just happen they require a lot of hard work.

There has also been an increase in training events within the four districts. These have included help at practices and special method practices where District boundaries have often blurred with welcome help from across the borders. Half-day courses have also been organised by Districts these have usually concentrated on Call Changes, Plain Hunting and Plain Bob Doubles/Minor.

It is also evident that there are a lot of people regularly attending and helping at practices other than their own. To all these unsung heroes we would like to say a big thank you.
