Quarter Peal Analysis & Report - 2001 | Quarter Peal Detail

This analysis is based upon quarter peals reported in The Ringing World from issues 4685 (Feb 9th 2001) to 4735 (Jan 25th 2002). As such it relies upon prompt submission by conductors and prompt publication by the RW. The situation at the end of January 2002 is very good, but twelve months ago there was a considerable backlog. Eighty-four quarters were rung in the last four months of 2000 but not published by February 2nd 2001 and although they were last year’s quarters they are included in this year’s total. A further 12 were rung even earlier, before the end of August 2000 - including some in 1999 - and were still not published by February 2001, this can only be caused by the tardiness of conductors and those quarters are not included in this analysis.

The number of quarter peals recorded for the year was 349 (327,307)
