Webb Ivory Fund Raising

We have been raising money through Webb Ivory for the Association Bell Repair Fund for the past four years. For those who are not aware, Webb Ivory is available to individuals who wish to raise money for a chosen charity, in our case the Association Bell Repair Fund. Any sales made through them qualify for a portion of that sale to go to the chosen charity, up to 25%.

We didn't have quite so good a year as last year, with less people buying and those that did spent less, although 2004 was an exceptionally good year. This year total sales were £723.41 and this brought in a profit of £128.26. A big thank you to those of you ordered. I will again ask my company to kindly match this profit under their £ for £ fund raising scheme which will mean we can donate in excess of £250 to the BRF. Well done to Eckington who raised the most in the Chesterfield District, Derby Cathedral in the Derby District and West Hallam in the Ilkeston District. If you have any suggestions or ideas to increase the overall profit, or to make it more appealing to people to take part in, please tell me. We again ordered labels for the cards to show they were purchased for charity and I hope everyone liked them.

I hope to be able to run Webb Ivory again this autumn and would ask you to have a look at our catalogues and place an order, all goods are competitively prices and good quality. They have a good range of presents for Christmas, especially for children, and their variety of Christmas cards and wrapping paper is excellent. Anyone throughout the Derby Diocesan Association, friends & family, and ringers in neighbouring associations, can place orders. Just because you may not live near us doesn't matter, we will arrange delivery.

The stock of general cards & wrapping paper has proved popular this year. We have taken these to various events to display and sell, as well as to friends and family. You will see the stock during 2006 and I hope you will have a look at them as these often generate more income than the catalogue items. In addition to the above catalogue sales profit figure, we raised £29.75 this way.

Easy fund raising opportunities cannot be turned down, but we need your help. Support us and order for Christmas and/or buy from our stall. If you have any queries, or comments, please phone us or . Orders can be placed by email, hand or post, payment with order please. Thank you.

Do you know if you have a similar scheme available from the company you work for? Make enquiries, even if you do not wish to organise anything for the Association, what about for your own tower? All of us need funds for our own tower B.R.F.

Once again thanks for all your support and here is to a successful 2006.
